The collective ParisBerlin organised again a beautiful Fotohaus during the opening week of the Rencontres d’Arles 2017 in France. Among a full program of good photography from France and Germany, our collective of photographers joined forces to show our views on the common topic 2017 “Rausch / Ivresse”.
Here is an overview of my installation with an ongoing portrait series from Moldova and Georgia.

PRESS – We love football (even in the outskirts of Europe)

Monday, August 14th, 2017

I was in Moldova for the final final game of the championship, the Golden Game, the play-off between the two firsts of the rank. FC Sheriff Tiraspol won at the penalties after a long suffered game against FC Dacia Chisinau.

Here is a photo report of the evening from the Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau, published by Futbolgrad.

PRESS – TfT (Time for Text) My article about football

Monday, August 14th, 2017

I recently wrote an article on the Moldovan football for the Italian Online Magazine “Osservatorio Balcani e Caucaso”. Why should you care? Because finally it is an alternative portrait of a country known for the usual poverty, emigration and corruption issues, though the lens of the football landscape.

Enjoy it here (in Italian only for the moment…)

GEORGIA – Travel Grant and Workshop in Tbilisi

Tuesday, January 31st, 2017

Well, this might not seem such a special news to dedicate a whole post to…

but hey, first of all, I have never been here before; secondly (do I have to feel ashamed for that?) it is the farest country I traveled to yet. Yes, I know, it seems not so the Far West, but I did a lot of long term deep digginig and hopping around different European countries and learned quite many of those languages on the way. So, I was busy.

On the third place, this country seems really interesting , fourtly, I will be around for one and a half more months and finally, I had a grant to start working on my new photographic story.

So you know what? This does deserve a post!

And a pic to make a to(a)st

gaumarjos!
